Artists' Network

Welcome to the North East Creative Ageing Artists' Network

The network is a space for artists to come together to discuss challenges, explore and test ideas and build new contacts with others working in the creative ageing field here in the North East.

Launched in Janaury this year, the network sprang from our successful Arts Council England-funded project Drawn Together. Throughout 2025 the programme provided training, shadowing opportunities, peer support and commissioned work for artists wanting to widen their practice supporting people 55+ and those living with dementia.

Upcoming Network - Thursday April 16, 2026

Join us in person on Thursday, April 16, from 4pm - 6pm in the Bewick Hall (Level 2) at Newcastle City Library (NE1 8AX) for the next Artists' Get Together.

At the last network we heard about the value and benefit of sharing ideas with peers from different creative backgrounds. At the April network we'll reflect on training needs of North East artists and explore how to grow wider participation for projects in sheltered housing venues.
