Storytellers old and young spin GRIMM tales together

We've been supporting residents at Charlton Court and children from Battle Hill Primary School in their weekly workshops creating their own dark fairy tales based on the original Brothers Grimm stories.

Supported by artists Poppy and Nicky, the group have so far penned four short stories and a collection of original songs around the theme of the elements.

With sessions going well, the group plan to perform their stories before an audience at the school towards the end of this school year.

"They've used images, props, drama games and chance to develop the characters and twist their plots. Margery has been a fantastic narrator, reading the stories aloud to the children each week. Dave has been playing our villain character, his deep voice helps!"
