Join us this spring and explore the life and legacy of Thomas Bewick.
We’ll be taking part in creative workshops and visit locations associated with Bewick to see collections of his artwork. We’ll discover how his enthusiasm for the natural world together with a supreme talent for wood engraving helped to make him the David Attenborough of his day.
In recognition of Bewick’s most famous book, A History of British Birds, we’ll begin the project this March drawing from nature with artist Johnny Foker and try our hand at wood engraving with Bernadette Koranteng. See the latest workshop timetable below. To help plan materials and workshops booking is essential.
