Would you like to work with us?

We are looking for associates to join our HenPower project which combines creativity and hens to improve wellbeing and help reduce loneliness among older people.

Candidates for these positions will have project coordinator skills and experience of working creatively in older people’s care settings.

The HenPower project supports older people to look after hens as a healthy and sociable activity whilst delivering a range of creative activities such as visual arts, creative writing, gardening, music or movement.

Successful candidates will enjoy working with older people, have experience in delivering creative activities and preferably have some experience or interest in hen husbandry.

The first position is for a HenPower Associate who will coordinate a cluster of HenPower projects (usually three to six) across Teesside (specifically Stockton and Hartlepool).

We also have HenPower Associate positions in Cambridgeshire and Liverpool.

The time commitment for associate roles depends on number of projects supported and is usually two to four days a week.

Fees are dependent on the programme delivery and number of projects and equate to approximately £30,000 pro rata as a full time post.

Equal Arts will support the successful candidates who will work closely with the HenPower Programme Manager.
