B is for Bewick - A creative exploration into the world of Thomas Bewick
Welcome our exhibition highlighting the work and life of North East artist, engraver and historian Thomas Bewick. It's been a year-long project for us supporting participants to work with artists and curators to interpret the treasure trove of Bewick's work in Newcastle City Library's archive.
The artwork of people 55+ and those living with dementia across Newcastle, Gateshead and South Tyneside is showcased in the exhibition together with the brilliance of Bewick’s prints and engravings.
Thank you to National Lottery Heritage Fund, the Bewick Society, Newcastle City Council and all of those who connected creatively with us to make the exhibition possible.
