We need your help creating a forest of festive community garlands

This winter we're partnering with Seven Stories to extend our HenPals initiative for a Christmassy community project.

Inspired by the centre's collection of The Good Little Christmas Tree by Ursula Moray Williams, we’re asking you to create your own collage tree for a forest of larger garlands that will be shared with the residents we support in care homes.

We know residents and staff who'd love to hear from you and share their Christmas tree decorating stories. You can either create one tree using the activity guide and template below or create a whole garland!

Residents receiving your trees and festive greetings will take part in online creative sessions adding their own trees and decorations to the garlands ready for them to displayed this Christmas.

Artwork for The Good Little Christmas Tree is Copyright the Estate of Ursula Moray Williams and reproduced by kind permission. The original artwork is held in the Ursula Moray Williams archive at Seven Stories.

Download the step-by-step creative activity and story pack here. To take part email henpals@equalarts.co.uk or call us on 0191 261 1619.

We'd love to see you getting creative
