Time Tracks - Locomotion, Shildon
Equal Arts was asked to manage an arts project for the new railway museum Locomotion in Shildon. We contracted writer David Napthine and visual artist Cath Walshaw to work with former railway workers in Shildon about the town and its past.
David Napthine created a powerful play based on the stories he collected which was recorded by local actors and played in the Soho shed at the museum.
Cath Walshaw worked with local people to produce images which she used to create three pieces of work – a light box and resins – which were installed in the museum.
