Stained Glass Project – Teams, Gateshead
Equal Arts commissioned artist Sue Woolhouse to work with a group of women from the Teams and Bensham luncheon club whocreated a glass panel for the local medical centre in Teams. The piece was based on the history of Davidson’s Glass, a local factory which was an important industry in Teams for 100 years.
"It was lovely being able to choose and understand the various glasses and colours available, cutting the shapes of the glass … and the leading … the satisfaction of seeing it taking shape over the weeks."
