Meals on Wheels for Garden Birds
An Age Concern Northumberland project in partnership with the RSPB and English Heritage and managed by Equal Arts. Launched in April 2003 at three venues in Northumberland, the project culminated in an exhibition at Brinkburn Priory in April 2004.
Four artists ran a programme of workshops at six venues involving over 40 older people and 80 children in writing, sculpture, sound recording and video animation on the broad theme of garden birds and local wildlife.
Teaching staff, participants and school children all remarked on how enjoyable the intergenerational sessions were.
